The Ash Street Saloon is downtown's dirty rock club. For nearly 20 years we've been hosting national and international touring acts, and providing a home to Portland's local scene. We have full sound and stage, green room, merch area, as well as front and back patios. It's our priority to treat bands well, those who work in our city and those on the road. We always feed touring band members, and make sure they get their fair shake of the door. Ash St is known for its punk, metal, and rock and roll history, but the doors are open to any and all genres.

Assisted Living: In the late 90's when Portland was having a wave of cool bands make noise, there was a band called Blyss. A massive line up of musicians making some awesome music. As the years went on they went from a 6pc band with 2 percussionists to a standard 4 pc - still putting out just as much awesome, and they became Assisted Living. Since retired, members have moved onto current projects like - The Without and Jollymon (reunited). Their bass player moved to Nashville and now tours for a living. Coming together for ONE final show on a stage they call home!

Photona: A project featuring seasoned musicians from Portland projects you might remember - Herkermer, Dutch Boy Fingers, T-Minus & Sweaty Nipples, to name a few. This band will get you out of your seat and shakin' to the beat! With power house drums, deep synth heavy sensibilities, distortion and huge vocals, this is a newer project sure to make waves and well worth checking out!

Vihara: Another reunion of musicians from the 90's out of Vancouver Wa. Can't stop won't stop! Bringing the house down one last time!

6 Nights of Farewells - Ash Street Saloon bids farewell to DWIGHT CHURCH

When you bond over music, you bond for life. We've been blessed to have relationships with so many different genres in the Portland music scene for the last 23 years. It's really not possible to convey how grateful we truly are for everything... <3

Our focus was the local scene, live performances every night, 362 days a year. Whether it was comedy, live music, an art show, wrestling in food, festival shows - we gave everyone an opportunity. Stages like ours foster things like "The Famous Mysterous Actor Show" - which went onto local cable TV for a short run. There's a band you've never heard of full of OHSU Doctors and they sell out our room every show. Our stage was blessed with Red Fang before they were thee Red Fang. Portugal. The Man's first show as a band was on our stage. The Decemberist played here before they were The Decemberists. Macklemore (the rapper dude) played Ash Street when he first started out playing in Portland, now he plays the Moda Center....

You don't get to be GWAR without playing at venues like Ash Street Saloon first - * insert wrestling in food here* -

Sure, we were thrown a bone and hosted some amazing artists like Mike Watt when he did pick up gigss on off days while touring with Red Hot Chili Peppers playing stadium shows. The core members of Gwar as The Dave Brockie Experience, Detriot Cobras (long ago, thanks to Mike Thrasher), Candlebox, Grammy Winner Kyle Gass of Tenacious D, Lyrics Born, D.R.I., Stabbing Westward, 36 Crazyfists, Local H, Jucifer, H.R. of  Bad Brains, Kreator, Lydia Lunch, R.K.L., Killswitch Engage, U.K. Subs, Graveyard, T.S.O.L., ... for heaven's sake FAITH NO MORE played the Ash Street before they were big! I shit you not, ask the owner! The list goes on and on and it's kinda amazing to think about our tiny stage and all these amazing shows.

For all of the thousands of late nights and bang-overs, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. <3
